The sequence of the game

Kids split into two goups of the same size. If the number of kids in both groups is sufficient, most often the boys and the girls are in different groups. One group of the dancers are squating in one end of the room, the other gourp is squating in the other end. The kids are squating in a row, and with both hands they take their heels. In the beginning the following conversation between the two groups is taking place:

1. The dialogue (8 bars)

Boys: “Magpie, magpie!
Girls: “What, what what!”

Boys: “Where is your husband?”
Girls: “In Vilkija!”

Boys: “What is he doing there?”
Girls: ”Sowing the shoes!”

Boys: “What with?”
Girls: “With a wire!”

2.
Changing sides (8 bars)

“Silk wire, silk wire!”

When the dialogue is finished, all players, without letting their heel free, singing rhythmically jump to the other side. In the middle of the room both groups meet. Passing each other, the jumping dancers try to push each other with their elbows or shoulders, or even make each other fall down. It is not allowed to let the heels free: the one who has fallen down, has to stand up taking his heel with his hands and jump further (or give a forfeit, and leave the game, if you want more elements of game). If the players are successful and the room is small enough, the rows, having jumped to different sides turn around and come back to their places in the same way. If not - the game is repeated from the beginning, untill the strongest win it.
