The sequence of the dance

In a couple the dancers stand one in front of another, joining both stretched hands.

1. Springing step and stamping

1 bar

“Hare”

Both dance a springing step, bending the leg: “one” - jump on the left foot, and put the right leg, stretched at the knee with the heel on the ground forward, bending by the waist towards the stretched leg (not necessarily touching the ground with the heel of the right leg);

“two” - once again jump on the left foot, add the foot of the right leg to the ankle of the left leg, and stretch straight.

2 bar

“.. running”

Both stamp in the same place (“one-and -two”), starting with the right foot.

3 - 4 bar

“dancing Kazokeli”

The movements of the 1 - 2 bar are repeated with the left foot.

5 - 8 bar

The dancers repeat the movements and text of 1 -4 bar.

2. Waltz - polka

1 - 8 bar

“He met a squirrel,

He lifted a cap”.

Joining hands like for polka, the dancers dance waltz - polka. (For kids we propose to take both stretched hands in a couple and turn round in the same place in a double step).

Further the dance is repeated from the beginning. The song is as follows:

II
“Good morning, squirrel,
You will be my relative. 2x2
Squirrel, squirrel, don’t get married,
Wait a little”2x2
